![]() ![]() And we see in the navigator this red line indicates the shape of the view itself. Drag that over into the view and release the mouse. Which should work with almost any renderer. And that is an all purpose physically based material. General and the first one is physical material. I'll scroll back up to the top and we see the section for materials. And in order for us to really see that let's add a new material. The navigator just shows you where you are in the view. And over here on the right we have a navigator and a material parameter editor. And that's where we can build a graph and visualize the structure of a shading network. And they'll be saved in your scene even if they're not applied onto any object. And sample slots are sort of a staging area where you can temporarily store materials while you're working on them. Scene materials are materials that are actually applied onto objects or in this case onto the environment. All the way down at the bottom we have scene materials. And if we scroll down in the material map browser there are a couple of other things in addition to the materials and maps. So the material map browser is a list of all the available materials or shaders and all the maps which can change the various properties of those materials. Over here on the left, is the material map browser which we saw as a floating window in the previous movie. And the Slate Material Editor is divided into a few sections. So I'm going to always work in the Slate Material Editor. However, I don't recommend that because you can't really easily visualize your shading network. If for some reason you want to go back to that you can choose from the modes menu to go back to the Compact Material Editor. The Compact Material Editor is sort of a left over from the early days of 3ds Max. There's the Slate Material Editor and the Compact Material Editor. In fact, there are two flavors of the material editor. And it's called the Slate Material Editor. Open that up from its button on the main tool bar or use the keyboard shortcut which is "M". We can take a look at the material editor proper. I looked at both max 20 and 21 version and cannot see a difference, so I don't know quite how that works or what could be changed to make it work.- Hello we've got our scene set up. I did find this, which may/may not work - I didn't test it ĮDIT: This suggests a fix to resetting them. The Reset Slots function does not reset to Vray in Max 20 however and that is currently a mystery to me, if, as mentioned, it works just fine with Vray 5/Max 21Ĭan anyone from Chaos explain what needs altering please? If you want that medit file then I could dropbox it, though the procedure is simple as explained in the link given. I tried changing this to the Vray lines but it doesn't work.Īnyway, I simply copied my Max 21 Vray 5 medit file and now Max 20 opens with those vray mats, so that is one thing. So that defaults to standard, not Physical mats - no idea why. No material type, value not used - system will use Standard. The OP is using next, so I looked and found that this is what I have in Max 20 using NEXT: to load default Material Editor slots instead.ĮDIT 2: The above is from max 21 with vray 5. The Market Defaults include a material library, Possibly there is some line in the a config or ini file that is changed.I have forgotten where they are in the folders but if I can find them I'll update what I see. So I am both happy yet confused a little. I can't remember if previously I had resaved the slots with my own vray mats but even so, I would have simply made them grey, not the randomly coloured I can't even work out how Vray managed to install and populate the slots unless it overwrites the mat file itself. ![]() ![]() I've since installed the hotfixes and nothing has changed. For me, since installing Vray 5 the slots are automatically populated with randomly coloured vray mats.Įven if I reset them all they stay as Vray mats. ![]()

![]() This video game outing for the blue GI was actually very good and was developed by a studio with a clear love for the comics. When Rebellion purchased 2000AD, it immediately acquired the rights to some of the best comic book characters ever created, including the likes of Judge Dredd, Slaine, ABC Warriors, and, of course, Rogue Trooper. And, now that games like Candy Crush rule the roost, this won’t likely change. It’s a simple, yet fiendishly deep puzzle set up that’s easy to play, and when up against good players, very hard to master.ĭeveloped by Sonic Team, Puyo Puyo has always failed to really make it big in the west (aside from the aforementioned Mean Bean Machine, which used the Sonic universe to boost appeal), and so many may not even know of the game series, let alone this excellent Xbox version. Puyo Pop Fever is one of the best versions of the color-matching puzzle series, which many western players will recognize more from its Dr. It’s ironic that the game would end up being exactly what it was named, but this is a shame, as it’s a great horror adventure, one worth seeking out if you’re a fan of the genre.įurther Reading: 25 Best Elder Scrolls Quests 44. At a time when WWII titles were so long in the tooth a woolly mammoth would look on in envy, this was a different take on the subject – and a welcome one at that. The game’s trademark bullet cam kills for well-placed sniper shots were first shown here, in all their graphic glory. As with the sequel, the game cast players as an elite sniper in enemy territory, emphasizing the use of stealth tactics to achieve objectives. It’s now more popular thanks to Sniper Elite V2, but back in the time of the Xbox, the original wasn’t so well known to the mainstream. The underground world was large and surprisingly varied at times, with plenty of dangerous creatures to face off against. It’s been ported to the PSP since, but still remains largely ignored.Īrx Fatalis was well worth a look too, as it featured some classic D&D style play, with a cool underworld setting and coupled this with first-person melee combat and a robust magic system. Shadow of Memories was an interesting outing for Konami and featured a plot that impressed critics and players who discovered it. ![]() So, you had to hurry things on to prevent his eventual demise. If the time in the current day reached that of Eike’s murder, the game was over and the chapter reset. Time flowed both in Eike’s current time period and the current day. The game took place in a fictional German town and utilized a clever dual clock system. Shadow of Memories was a time-traveling adventure that saw protagonist, Eike Kusch, attempt to stop his murder by journeying to the past in order to change future events. Here we have another adventure title, this time from Konami. A sequel was released, but ultimately, the game didn’t do all that well. Spread over a series of missions, the game retained the original ’80s game’s theme, even using remixes of the famous Peter Gunn tune, and also featured impressive visuals and extra features, such as the car’s bike mode. Regulations as you know is there to protect non-sophisticated investors. Many things you can do with private companies are not always that obvious with publicly traded shares because you have a lot of regulations (as most of you here know). I am not talking about doing illegal stuff, I am talking about simply being more free to cash out at higher levels. They have more room for creative cash-outs. If you do this with public shares you are nuts. I am not talking about publicly traded shares. I would not recommend this to the common man either, because it is not for the common man, period. It all comes down to, as you mentioned Russ, insight. The good idea: with insight and knowledge this way of doing it may be a good thing. The bad idea: Bad insight (agree with you on that one). It can be both a bad idea doing this and a good idea doing this. I like to generalize, but I can't generalize on this one. But I would love to if anyone wants to get together. I lost the game about a year ago, so haven't played since. I was starting to get better at evaluating deals, but honestly it's been so long I don't remember how I did it, I just remember the Mouse (or was it a turtle?) saying "good job!" once I clicked "no thanks" I started working on bigger deals that would add to my cashflow and get me out of the rat race, because I knew that you got PAID once you were out - I still don't understand how the numbers worked but I was getting something ridiculous every time I hit paycheck. So this was an easy way to get some cash but I didn't feel it was valid. this doesn't always work like that in real life). The game was making it easy by projecting if you will make money (ex- stock is at $3. Then I was more selective, but I remember relying a lot on stock. ![]() I don't remember the details - but I ended up bankrupt quick. Over and over again I would want to just quit - but kept going through till I eventually got pretty good.Īt first I was trying to buy properties and see what will happen. I played the computer game version only, and at first was very frustrated because my accounting classes have apparently not been paying off - I kept on messing up dragging numbers to the right columns. This changes the game flow and challenges players to get out using one method to exit - much tougher! Unlimited borrowing means you line up the sharks for quick deal turn around in your area of specialty vs. So if player has $1000 cash, 50 shares stock at $20 / share ($1000 total) and house with $6k down payment he can borrow $1000 (cash) + $500 (stock) +$3000 (house) = $4500 so player can only borrow $4k ( $80 / month cost) from normal bank max. Always round down borrowing, round up repayment. Player can only borrow 100% against cash, 50% against paper asset value when bought / RE & businesses down payment only. Normal bank borrowing interest is 2% / month ($200 / month) in $1000 block. Player must choose either method at the time at the time of borrowing. Player can ONLY do unlimited borrowing based on what exit method they choose, otherwise they can only do "normal" bank borrowing. Landing on dreams without cheese you can buy it and charge 10% to other players when they land on it if they choose not to buy -they are paying you "rent" for the dream!įinally one house rule that challenges the players to new levels:Īt beginning of the game players write down first then announce method of getting to fast track: Paper assets, RE, or Businesses To make fast track ore challenging change your new cash flow income to 10x instead of 100x. To exit fast track you must hit 2x passive over expensive (3x for 202 players!) or $1 mill in cash ($2 mill for 202), and pay off all debt (including home mortgage) to go to fast track! Player can player can buy / sell as many blocks as they want only landing on paycheck.Īllow 101 players to short any stock card (follow 202 rules) to max of 5000 shares. Each block can be sold back for $70,000 / block. ![]() Each $100,000 / block brings cash flow $410 / month at 5% ROI. This guy could have done put's to insure profit or at his level do "stamps" to protect against price drops.Īllow 101 game whenever you land on paycheck you can buy / sell bonds. Of course the "insiders" with options or given shares in lieu of cash do even better. So this somewhat reflects the game $1 or $5 stock retail. Did he sell? Nope - "it will go higher"! Would like to find out where he is now since the crash. ![]() The stock just peak at $800 / share then split 4:1. I don't think he work for the company but knew people that did.
